Hitech Grand Prix has confirmed that Sebastian Montoya will race for Hitech Grand Prix in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this year.
The Colombian-American, and son of seven-time race winner Juan Pablo Montoya, made his F3 debut In 2022 at Zandvoort with Campos Racing.
Montoya was previously a Red Bull athlete and it was revealed at the start of 2023 that he was to become a full member of the Red Bull junior programme.
He is already racing with Hitech in the newly named Formula Regional Middle East Championship alongside fellow Red Bull junior, Jak Crawford, who will compete in F2 this year.
Montoya is one of two Red Bull juniors competing in F3 categories with Hitech for 2023 with French F4 race-winner, Souta Arao, completing the Red Bull line-up in GB3.
“We will all work together to have a great year and fight at the front consistently,” Montoya said, looking forward to his FIA F3 campaign. “I just want to say than you to Red Bull, Hitech, my family, plus everyone else involved.”
Montoya is the second Hitech F3 driver to be confirmed, with Gabriele Mini occupying one of the other seats.
Hitech Team Principal, Oliver Oakes said: “Let’s bring on the season and give it everything.

Adding, we are delighted to see Montoya step up to FIA F3 after testing with us last November in Jerez, alongside Arao who has has some promising results as he joins the GB3 grid.”
