Red Bull’s Sergio Perez believes that the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the biggest event in the world next year.

F1’s highly anticipated return to Las Vegas will occur in 12 months’ time, with a track being structured around its famous streets that are known for extravagant nightlife.

It will mark the first time that the sport has returned to the Nevada city in over 40 years and the race is scheduled to be held on a Saturday night.

F1’s popularity in the United States has rocketed in recent years, with the 2023 F1 calendar featuring three races in the country.

Las Vegas will form the penultimate round of the campaign, accompanying Miami and Austin on the calendar.

Although the race is one year away, F1 held a launch party in the city earlier this month, with Perez, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in attendance.

Hamilton heaped praise on the event, stating at the launch party that it could prove to be the “best F1 race of all time”.

Perez too spoke highly of it, believing it will go down as the biggest event in the world next year.

“It’s great to see how the fans are looking so much forward into it,” he said.

“Things didn’t go that well in the casinos, so not very nice memories! But other than that everything was really cool.

“Really happy, you know. I’ve been in Vegas many times before, so it was a very enjoyable, short visit.

“And yeah, just looking forward, I think it’s going to be the biggest event in the world next year.”

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled to be held on November 18, 2023.
