Charles Leclerc topped the second practice session from the Circuit of the Americas, with much of the focus on Pirelli’s prototype tyres.
Leclerc returned to the car after sitting out Friday’s first session, with reserve driver Robert Shwartzman standing in for him.

Valtteri Bottas was second for Alfa Romeo ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in third, as those who missed FP1 were allowed to run Pirelli’s standard 2022 compounds.
On-track action from Austin, Texas will resume on Saturday with the final practice session and qualifying.
