Max Verstappen secured pole position for the 2022 Japanese Grand Prix by the narrowest of margins as Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc missed out by just 0.01s. He starts second ahead of team-mate Carlos Sainz, who starts alongside Sergio Perez.
