GRT Grasser Racing Team has named its full cast of drivers for its debut campaign in DTM, headed by factory star Mirko Bortolotti.
Bortolotti joins the previously Clemens Schmid as well as Rolf Ineichen and Alessio Deledda in the four-car, factory Lamborghini effort.
The Italian is in his second stint as a works driver for the marque, having briefly competed with Audi in 2020 before making the move back to the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory roster.
He is also the only one out of the four that competed in DTM during its first season under GT3 regulations last year, appearing as a guest driver with T3 Motorsports during the Assen weekend. He was immediately on the pace, setting the fastest lap en route to a podium finish during the Saturday race.
Schmid, a regular with the team in ADAC GT Masters and GT World Challenge Europe previously, was already confirmed as the first of four drivers.
43-year-old Ineichen is the oldest driver in the team’s line-up, but has vast experience racing Lamborghini GT3 machinery in various championships. He has also had a long and existing relationship with Gottfried Grasser’s outfit, first joining them in 2016.
Finally, Deledda joins the team after a season in FIA Formula 2 with HWA Racelab. He has raced Lamborghini machinery before, joining VS Racing for the final round of the Super Trofeo Europe in 2020.
