Jenzer Motorsport has announced the signing of Ido Cohen for the upcoming FIA Formula 3 Championship.
It will be Cohen’s second season in the series, having competed for Carlin Buzz Racing in 2021, finishing 24th in the standings.
The Israeli failed to register a Championship point across the campaign, scoring a best result of 12th.
Cohen already has experience with Jenzer, having driven for it at the final day of post-season testing in Valencia last year.
“I am really happy to join the Jenzer Motorsport family,” said Cohen. “I drove with the team in Valencia and it was a really good experience.
“The people there were very professional, so with the team capabilities and the experience I already have in the championship, I am confident I can achieve good results. I am excited and looking forward to driving in Bahrain.”
Cohen is the first driver to be announced by Jenzer for the 2022 F3 season, which will get underway in Bahrain next month.
Jenzer Motorsport Team Principal Andreas Jenzer added: “At the official FIA F3 post-season test days in Valencia last autumn Ido got into our car for the first time.
“We immediately felt that we could work very well together and are pleased that Ido decided to join our team for his second season in FIA F3.
“We are sure that we will have a good cooperation and a successful championship ahead of us together.”
