Michael Christensen will return to partner Kevin Estre in Porsche’s two-car GTE Pro line-up in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Christensen and Estre will team up aboard the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19, with Laurens Vanthoor returning to reform the line-up that took a class win at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Dane was the third driver in the team’s line-up during 2021, as Porsche opted to pair Estre up with former Le Mans winner Neel Jani for the full-season effort. Christensen joined the duo at Portimao, Le Mans and the Bahrain double header instead.

Estre and Jani took three race wins in Spa, Monza and Bahrain, but missed out on the title after a controversial collision between Christensen and Ferrari’s Alessandro Pier Guidi in the Bahrain 8H season finale.

Christensen and Estre will also team up to defend their overall victory in the Nürburgring 24 Hours, teaming up with Vanthoor and Frederic Makowiecki aboard the Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Jani will remain on Porsche’s books as a reserve driver for its Formula E effort, alongside Simona de Silvestro.

The line-up for the #91 car remains unchanged. Gianmaria Bruni and Richard Lietz will team up a fourth consecutive season, joined by Makowiecki at Le Mans.
