Williams test driver Roy Nissany will remain with DAMS in next year’s Formula 2 championship.
Nissany, who took part in three practice sessions for Williams this year, made his debut in Formula 2 in 2018 and after missing the 2019 season returned in 2020.
For 2021 he linked up with DAMS and claimed a maiden podium finish in Monaco en route to 16th in the overall standings.
“I’m extremely happy to continue with DAMS, we have become a family which has made me feel very confident and comfortable,” said Nissany.
“I’m sure we will carry on with the amazing progress we have achieved so far, constantly pushing ourselves upwards.
“I’m really focused on continuing my development within the team throughout the new season and getting some solid results next year.”
Nissany is DAMS’ first confirmed driver for 2022.
He is the latest driver to secure his place on next year’s grid, after Virtuosi announced the recruitment of Jack Doohan and Marino Sato, while Logan Sargeant will join Carlin.
