Mick Schumacher will sport a special helmet design at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix to commemorate 30 years since his father’s Formula 1 debut.
Michael Schumacher made his grand prix debut with Jordan at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix, the first of over 300 races in a career that yielded 91 wins and seven world titles.
Schumacher’s maiden grand prix victory also came at Spa-Francorchamps, in 1992, while in 2004 he clinched his seventh and final world title at the venue.
Haas racer Mick has sported a predominantly green helmet design throughout his career but on Friday unveiled a tribute in the colours of the scheme that his father ran at Spa in 1991.
Schumacher will use the design throughout the Belgian Grand Prix weekend aboard the Haas VF-21.
