Jamie Chadwick will start the fourth round of the 2021 W Series at the Hungaroring from pole position ahead of her title rival Alice Powell, who will join her on the front row.
The first 10 minutes saw Chadwick setting the pace, carrying over from her performance in practice earlier in the morning.
As the track was cooling down, lap times started to come down in the final 15 minutes, demonstrated by Chadwick’s Veloce Racing team-mate Bruna Tomaselli, who had leapt up to second before most of the others came out for their last runs.
By the end of the session, Chadwick went even quicker than before by setting a time that proved to be 0.269 seconds ahead of Powell, enough to see the 23-year-old claim her second pole position of the season on a circuit where overtaking is notoriously tricky.
Third on the grid will be Nerea Marti, which is her best grid spot of the campaign, while Visser will start fourth.
Irina Sidorkova, Tomaselli and Marta Garcia will be next behind in fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
The top 10 is rounded out by Emma Kimilainen, Belen Garcia and Jessica Hawkins, while Sarah Moore, who had started the season strongly with her podium in Austria, could only manage 16th.
This weekend’s race for the W Series will be on Saturday afternoon a 16:30 track time.
