Mike Conway leads the way in the #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid from pole position, with team-mate Sebastien Buemi in second place in the #8 sister car.
The #36 Alpine A480-Gibson of Andre Negrao briefly challenged Buemi at the start, but Negrao is now himself under pressure from the #709 Glickenhaus 007 LMH in the hands of Richard Westbrook in the battle for third.
The #708 Glickenhaus in the hands of Pipo Derani has dropped back, holding fifth with a reported electrical issue.
The race is currently under full course yellow, as the #88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Andrew Haryanto has beached itself in the gravel at turn two.
LMP2 is led by Phil Hanson in the #22 United Autosports ORECA 07-Gibson, who took the lead in the start from the #31 Team WRT ORECA of Robin Frijns.

The GTE Pro running order has remained unchanged from the start. The #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Kevin Estre leads, ahead of the #51 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo of Alessandro Pier Guidi.
The #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19 driven by Gianmaria Bruni sits in third, with the #51 Ferrari rounding out the class.
