Kevin Estre has beaten Ferrari’s Alessandro Pier Guidi to GTE Pro pole position for the Six Hours of Monza by the smallest of margins.

Estre posted the fastest time in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19, lapping Monza in a best effort of 01:45:412.

His first lap was deleted when the Porsche missed the entry of turn one and had to go straight on, but Estre was able to recover and take pole in class.

It marks the third consecutive pole position for the #92 Porsche, which also took pole for the opening two rounds in Spa and Portimao.

The Frenchman’s best effort was just 0.065s faster than Pier Guidi’s #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

Some four tenths back was the #91 Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Gianmaria Bruni, with the #52 Ferrari of Daniel Serra completing the class.

In GTE Am, a late flyer from Ben Keating gave TF Sport pole position.

The Texan produced a 01:47:647 in the #33 Aston Martin Vantage AMR, which was good enough for pole position.

Keating denied a home pole for Ferrari, as the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo of Francois Perrodo was in second, ahead of the #47 Cetilar Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo of Roberto Lacorte
