Alfa Romeo-linked Tatiana Calderon is set to get behind the wheel of IndyCar machinery for the first time at Mid-Ohio next week.
Calderon, 28, is currently undertaking dual campaigns in the World Endurance Championship and the Japan-based Super Formula series.
She previously competed on the Formula 1 single-seater ladder, spending three years in the GP3 Series, prior to a season in Formula 2 in 2019.
Calderon is spending the Mid-Ohio weekend embedded within the A. J. Foyt Racing outfit and will drive the ROKiT-sponsored No. 14 car at the venue as part of a test day on Tuesday.
“I’m very excited and thankful to the ROKiT AJ Foyt Racing team for this incredible opportunity,” she said.
“I started my single-seater career in the US and it has always been a dream to drive an Indy car one day.
“I’m sure it will be a great challenge and I can’t wait to have the experience to drive around Mid-Ohio on Tuesday, learn about the car and enjoy the chance to drive one of the fastest race cars on the planet.”
