IMSA has unveiled the entry list for the upcoming Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, with 40 cars set to contest the race across five classes.
The field is split between seven entries in DPi, five in LMP2, nine in LMP3, five in GTLM and fourteen in GTD.
DPi sees the return of the #48 Action Express-entered Ally Cadillac Racing DPi-VR, which last raced at Sebring, with Jimmie Johnson, Kamui Kobayashi and Simon Pagenaud listed as drivers.
Sebastien Bourdais, meanwhile, returns to Mustang Sampling Racing while Mike Conway has been brought into the Whelen Engineering line-up and Jonathan Bomarito has been added to the #55 Mazda.
Three teams have opted not to employ third drivers for the six-hour enduro: Chip Ganassi Racing, Wayne Taylor Racing and Meyer Shank Racing.
LMP2 sees five cars from the regular teams: Tower Motorsport, WIN Autosport, Era Motorsport and PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports, as well as United Autosports.
The nine-car LMP3 field sees two notable additions. United Autosports is expanding its new operations with a Ligier JS P320 for Edouard Cauhaupe, Niklas Kruetten and a yet to be confirmed third driver.
The race will also see an entirely new team on the grid in the form of Dawson Racing, which has entered a Ligier JS P320 for Dominic Cicero, Theodor Olsen and Ben Devlin.
GTLM returns to a five-car field as the two BMW M8 GTEs make their return to the championship. The #24 will be driven by Jesse Krohn, John Edwards and Augusto Farfus, while Connor de Philippi, Philipp Eng and Bruno Spengler drive the #25 car.
WeatherTech Racing’s #79 Porsche 911 RSR-19, victorious at Sebring, will be driven by Cooper Macneil alongside the pairing of Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet.
In GTD, the most notable addition to the entry list is the return of the #42 NTE Sport Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo, which last made an appearance at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
“We’ve been working hard to assemble a program to get us back on track for WeatherTech (Championship) events,” team owner Paul Mata said. “We had a gearbox issue at Daytona in the final hours and have been working hard to make sure we get back out there to continue to race and grow at top levels like WeatherTech.”
Don Yount and Jaden Conwright will be joined behind the wheel by experienced Finnish GT racer Markus Palttala.
