The Automobile Club de l’Ouest has published the list of reserve entries for the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans, featuring four cars.
Of these four entries, three are for GTE Am and one entry is for LMP2. The ACO says it has selected these entries based on three criteria: The competitor’s technical and sporting quality, the interest for fans and media and commitment and loyalty to ACO series.
The list is headed by the first of two reserve entries by Italian squad AF Corse.
The #62 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo for Christophe Ulrich, Simon Mann and former Williams Formula One driver Sergei Sirotkin, is first reserve, meaning that it will be the first car to gain an entry to the grid in the case a confirmed entry is withdrawn from the current 62-car grid.
It is followed by an LMP2 entry for Portuguese squad Algarve Pro Racing, with Mark Patterson and Naveen Rao listed as drivers for the #27 ORECA 07-Gibson.
Third on the list is the #59 Aston Martin Vantage AMR for GT World Challenge Europe and Intercontinental GT Challenge regulars Garage 59, with Alexander West listed as the lone driver.
The reserve list is rounded off by the aforementioned second reserve entry for AF Corse, this time with the #61 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo for Francesco Piovanetti.
