Ally Cadillac Racing will be classified last in the DPi category in the Twelve Hours of Sebring following a drive time infringement for Simon Pagenaud.
According to IMSA sporting regulations, a driver can be in the car for a maximum of four hours in a six-hour period.
Pagenaud, who shares the #48 Cadillac DPi-VR with Jimmie Johnson and Kamui Kobayashi for the Michelin Endurance Cup rounds, is understood to have exceeded that four-hour threshold by 50 seconds.
As per the regulations, this means that the car will be moved to the back of the class in the final results.
The penalty comes following a difficult weekend for the Action Express-run entry. Johnson first crashed heavily in qualifying, forcing the car to be rebuilt.
Then, in the opening phase of the race, Johnson again was involved in an incident, colliding with the Mustang Sampling Cadillac, which effectively took it out of contention for overall victory.
