The Japanese driver set a time of 01:36:389 in the #48 Ally Cadillac Racing Cadillac DPi-VR, which was just under half a second quicker than Harry Tincknell in the #55 Mazda RT24-P.
Renger van der Zande posted the third time in the #01 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac, ahead of Whelen Engineering’s Felipe Nasr and Meyer Shank Racing’s Dane Cameron.
Mikkel Jensen was quickest in LMP2 for PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports ahead of Cetilar Racing’s Dallara in the hands of Antonio Fuoco and Tristan Nunez for WIN Autosport.
Laurens Hoerr led the way for Muelhner Motorsports America in the #6 Duqueine D08, with Lance Willsey the only other driver to set a time in the #33 Sean Creech Motorsport Ligier JS P320.
Three drivers set a time in GTLM, with Nick Tandy quickest in the #4 Corvette C8.R, ahead of the #25 BMW M8 GTE of Timo Glock and Kevin Estre in the #79 WeatherTech Racing Porsche 911 RSR-19.
Raffaele Marciello put the #75 SunEnergy 1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo up top in GTD, followed by the #96 Turner Motorsports BMW M6 GT3 of Bill Auberlen and Daniel Morad in the #28 Alegra Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3.
