Alex Lynn led the way on the penultimate day of Formula E pre-season testing by topping the fourth session of the weekend for Mahindra Racing.
In the morning of the second day, it was Antonio Felix da Costa who fronted proceedings for DS Techeetah, however, the reigning champion’s best lap was beaten in the afternoon.
Lynn’s 1:11.191s run – which was posted on his penultimate lap of the day – bettered da Costa’s efforts by 0.007s, with the Portuguese pilot taking the second-fastest time in the combined classification.
Maximilian Guenther was Lynn’s nearest challenger in Test Session 4, however, with the BMW i Andretti Motorsport driver ending up 0.208s shy of the Briton at the conclusion of the session.
He was followed by rookie team-mate Jake Dennis, who took third in the afternoon in only his second official day with the German marque.
Sam Bird delivered Jaguar Racing with fourth place while Edoardo Mortara completed the top five for ROKiT Venturi Racing, 0.382s down on Lynn.
Sergio Sette Camara fronted a 6-8 result for Dragon Penske Autosport, with team-mate, Nico Muller following Oliver Rowland who split the Brazilian-Swiss pairing for Nissan e.dams.
Andre Lotterer, who was fastest at the end of Day 1, took ninth for Porsche. Norman Nato completed the top 10 in the second Venturi.
Pre-season testing will resume on December 1 at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit for one final day of on-track action ahead of the start of the new season in Janaury.
