Nielsen Racing has unveiled its debut livery for next week’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Danish squad will make its first ever start in the French endurance classic after winning the LMP3 title in the 2019/20 Asian Le Mans Series.
The team’s #24 ORECA 07-Gibson features a white, blue and black design with red touches, largely in line with the colour scheme seen on the Duqueine LMP3 cars the team currently campaigns in the European Le Mans Series.
The car will be piloted by Tony Wells and Garret Grist, two of the drivers who took the ALMS crown, alongside LMP3 racer Alex Kapadia. Kapadia drove for the team during the 2018 European Le Mans Series and has also campaigned LMP3 machinery for RLR MSport and Team AAI.

Team Project 1 & MR Racing sure up
Team Project 1 and MR Racing have both completed their GTE Am line-ups for the 88th edition of the French endurance classic.
Larry ten Voorde, newly crowned Porsche Supercup champion, will return to Team Project 1 at Le Mans, partnering Egidio Perfetti and Matteo Cairoli behind the wheel of the #56 Porsche 911 RSR.
Ten Voorde has previously raced with Team Project 1 in the FIA World Endurance Championship this season, most notably partnering Jeroen Bleekemolen and Ben Keating and taking victory in the 8 Hours of Bahrain.
“I am delighted to be driving for Project 1 at Le Mans this year,” said ten Voorde. “We have raced together a great deal and celebrated lots of successes. I owe the team a lot!
“It’s fantastic to get the chance to compete in Le Mans, and I am very grateful to everyone at the team for the opportunity.
I can’t wait to get stuck into the race with Egidio and Matteo. We have a strong package and I am confident that we can finish well.”
The German team’s second Porsche will be driven by the regular trio of Bleekemolen, Keating and Felipe Fraga.

Additionally, the MR Racing-entered Car Guy Racing Ferrari 488 GTE Evo has seen a late change to its line-up.
The #70 Ferrari was originally set to be driven by Takeshi Kimura, Kei Cozzolino and Super GT driver Yuhi Sekiguchi.
Sekiguchi will however be replaced by Vincent Abril as quarantine restrictions would have negatively impacted his domestic race commitments in Super GT and Super Formula.
Abril, a former Bentley factory driver, made his Le Mans debut in 2019, racing a Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR with the father-and-son duo of Philippe and Louis Prette. He also won the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup in 2015.
Abril will join Kimura and Cozzolino behind the wheel of the bright yellow Ferrari, which is run under the Car Guy Racing name by WEC squad MR Racing.
