Oscar Piastri won his second race of the season by taking victory in the FIA Formula 3 race on Sunday morning.
The Australian made a magnificent start from fifth on the grid to find himself in the lead by Turn 4.
Despite two Safety Car periods, the PREMA driver collected the points for the fastest lap out of those in the top ten and managed the gap to a second over Alex Peroni in the runner-up position.
Following his reverse-grid pole, Matteo Nannini, the nephew of Formula 1 race-winner Alessandro Nannini, fended off the rest of the field behind to take his first podium in F3.
Richard Verschoor was next in fourth ahead of championship-leader Logan Sargeant. Theo Pourchaire, Liam Lawson, Enzo Fittipaldi, David Beckmann and Jake Hughes rounded the top ten points-scorers.
Victory in Spain results in Oscar Piastri closing the gap to Logan Sargeant to a single point with three rounds of the championship remaining in 2020.
The first of those will be at Spa on 28-30 August, part of the Belgian Grand Prix support bill.
