Gustavo Menezes has put Rebellion Racing on top for the third and final free practice session ahead of the Total Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
The California native steered the #1 Rebellion R13-Gibson around the Ardennes circuit with a best time of 01:59:605, 0.438s quicker than Mike Conway’s #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid.
Conway was 0.046s quicker than team-mate Kazuki Nakajima in the #8 Toyota, with Tom Dillmann fourth for ByKolles.
The final practice session at Spa was cut short after it was red flag when a drain cover came loose at Stavelot and was not resumed.
Racing Team Nederland continues to show strong pace in LMP2 as Giedo van der Garde set a best time of 02:03:170 in the #29 ORECA 07-Gibson, nearly half a second up on Paul di Resta’s best time in the #22 United Autosports ORECA 07-Gibson and two seconds up on Nicolas Lapierre, who was third for Cool Racing.
Anthony Davidson was fourth quickest in the #38 JOTA ORECA, with the top five completed by the #35 Eurasia Motorsport ORECA 07-Gibson of Roberto Merhi.
Ryan Cullen completed his first laps in the #37 ORECA 07-Gibson, subbing at Jackie Chan DC Racing for Gabriel Aubry.
Porsche leads GTE Pro
Michael Christensen posted the quickest time in GTE Pro in the #92 Porsche 911 RSR-19, nearly a full second up on the #51 Ferrari 388 GTE Evo in the hands of Alessandro Pier Guidi.
Davide Rigon was third in the second Ferrari, ahead of Gianmaria Bruni in the #91 Porsche. The two Aston Martins brought up the rear.
Championship leaders AF Corse led the way in GTE Am, courtesy of a 02:16:833 by Nicklas Nielsen in the #83 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.
Jonny Adam was second quickest in the #90 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage AMR, with Lucas Legeret in the #88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche 911 RSR third quickest.
