MR Racing has withdrawn its entry for this weekend’s Total Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, while Italian racer Gianluca Giraudi has been added to the line-up for Dempsey-Proton Competition’s #88 Porsche.
Japanese GTE Am squad MR Racing was supposed to enter the #70 Ferrari 488 GTE Evo for the trio of Motoaki Ishikawa, Come Ledogar and Kei Cozzolino, but has been withdrawn from the entry list.
The withdrawal brings the GTE Am field down to 10 cars, with 30 cars set to take the start in total.
The team is also likely to be absent at Le Mans in September, as the WEC regulars will likely make way for Car Guy Racing.
According to Dailysportscar, Takeshi Kimura, Cozzolino and a yet to be determined third driver will take over the #70 Ferrari in the French endurance classic.
Inthraphuvasak out, Giraudi in at Dempsey-Proton
Thai racer Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak will not be a part of the driver crew for the #88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche 911 RSR and will instead be replaced by Gianluca Giraudi.
Inthraphuvasak was set to make his debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship, but travel complications have rendered him unable to compete at Spa.
Giraudi will make his return to the GTE Am Porsche, last having raced for the team at the Silverstone season opener in September.
