IMSA has released updated Balance of Performance for next week’s Weathertech 240 at Daytona.
In the updated bulletin, released on Thursday, the two Team Penske Acura ARX-05s have been given an increase in boost in the mid-to-high rev range, which results in a power increase of 5kW, or about 7 horsepower.
No other performance-related changes have been made to the DPi class other than adjusted aero configurations and fuel capacities.
In GTLM, the Porsche 911 RSR-19 is the only car not to have received any adjustments. The BMW M8 GTE, which took a class win in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, has been given a 15 kilogram weight increase, as well as a power reduction of 1.4kW, an increased rear wing angle and reduced fuel capacity.
The Corvette C8.R has received a slight increase to its restrictor diameter, resulting in a power increase of 2kW, while its fuel capacity has also been boosted.
The Ferrari 488 GTE Evo has received by far the biggest performance gain, with a power increase of 10.4kW, although no teams have currently been entered that run the Ferrari as Risi Competizione has not returned after the Weathertech 240 at Daytona.
In GTD, Acura and Ferrari runners have both also been handed a power increase. The Acura NSX GT3 Evo has been given an increase of 3.9kW, while the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo will be running an additional 6.8kW.
Audi (-8kW), BMW, (-7.4kW) Lamborghini (-9.7kW) and Porsche (-9.7kW) have all seen their power levels decreased.
