Formula 2 and Formula 3 have joined Formula 1 in postponing its upcoming rounds, as well as planned in-season test sessions.
The support categories were due to get underway alongside Formula 1 in Bahrain this weekend but the event’s postponement forced that schedule to be abandoned.
Further events in Zandvoort, Barcelona and Monaco (Formula 2 only) have been postponed or cancelled altogether.
Both Formula 2 and 3 undertook just one joint pre-season test in Bahrain at the start of the month and further sessions were planned for Barcelona and Budapest through April and May.
These have now been suspended until further notice.
“Together with the FIA and Formula 1, we’re closely monitoring the situation and we are studying possible new dates should the situation improve,” said Formula 2 and 3 CEO Bruno Michel.
“For the time being, all F2 and F3 track activities are on hold.
“Until we can get back on track we wish our teams, drivers, partners and all our fans well.”
