Raul Fernandez led the way in Qatar Moto3 FP3 to head the 14 riders who progress directly to Q2 to will fight for pole position later on today.
The KTM Ajo man went marginally faster than his overall fastest Friday lap-a 2:05.464- to lead Dennis Foggia and Tatsuki Suzuki.
The latter pair’s efforts were not enough to snatch automatic progression to Q2 though, while the same could be said for the fourth and fifth place men Ryusei Yamanaka and Filip Salac.
Sixth placed FP3 man Ai Ogura will progress direct to Q2 alongside seventh Tony Arbolino, while the non-automatic progressing Albert Arenas managed eighth ahead of Andrea Migno and Jaume Masia-who both are guaranteed to be in the battle for pole in qualifying.
Also moving straight into Q2 will be Deniz Oncu, Kaito Toba and FP1 leader Sergio Garcia-the trio managing the 11th through 13th quickest efforts in FP3.
Celestino Vietti will also move into Q2 for the VR46 squad, joined by the likes of John McPhee, Yuki Kunii and the sole Avintia KTM of Carlos Tatay.
The final two men enjoying a free Q2 passage are the Darryn Binder and Romano Fenati for CIP Racing and MAX Racing respectively, the pair ending FP3 nose-to-tail a lowly 24th and 25th.
Turn 6 meanwhile claimed a further victim, with Snipers pilot Salac falling foul of the bend to become the latest rider caught out, while Toba also suffered a spill at the fast Turn 5 later on.
