MP Motorsport has announced Bent Viscaal will return to the team for the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship.
Viscaal will return to the championship after making his F3 debut with HWA Racelab in 2019 alongside Jake Hughes and Keyvan Andres..
The Dutch driver made his single-seater debut with MP Motorsport in 2017, taking second place in both the SMP and Spanish Formula 4 titles.
Prior to his F3 arrival, he also finished as runner-up in the Euroformula Open Championship in 2018.
A difficult season only saw the Dutch driver make one points finish, which came in the form of a fifth place at the French Feature Race at Paul Ricard.
“It is nice to return to the old nest for my second season in FIA F3”, said Viscaal.
“MP Motorsport showed well in FIA F3 last year, culminating in that spectacular victory in the FIA Formula 3 World Cup in Macau. I aim to continue this trend with the team. I can’t wait to get started with the first test!”
“To Bent I would like to say – welcome home!” added Sander Dorsman, Team Manager at MP Motorsport.
“In 2017, we achieved great results together in Formula 4, and it’s our firm plan to be as energetic in 2020 as in our first year of cooperation. We look forward to another season with Bent.”
