AlphaTauri’s 2020 car, the AT01, made its on-track debut on Saturday morning at the Misano track following Friday’s unveiling.

The renamed team, formerly of the Toro Rosso guise, held a glamorous launch event at Red Bull’s Hangar-7 in Saltzburg, Austria on Friday night which saw the team’s new branding and livery unveiled (though it was on a 2019 car).

The team and drivers had an early wake up call to jump on an AlphaTauri branded Honda-jet at 6am to fly to Misano for the shakedown, which saw Daniil Kvyat jumpe behind the wheel first.

Following today’s event, the car will be transported to Spain’s Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for pre-season testing, which begins on Wednesday 19 and lasts for a total of six days, split over two weeks.
