Mercedes has agreed a multi-year partnership with high-performance computing leader AMD, with the company’s logos to feature on the W11.
Mercedes has dominated Formula 1 in the hybrid era, taking six successive double championships, with Lewis Hamilton (five) and Nico Rosberg (one) collecting honours in the Drivers’ competition.
Mercedes will launch its W11 at Silverstone next Friday (February 14), and the logos of AMD will feature on both sides of the cockpit, race suits and team clothing.
AMD had previously been a sponsor of Ferrari.
“Innovation is at the heart of Formula 1, we always try and push the technological boundaries in our hunt for performance,” said Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff.
“We are delighted to have AMD join our team as a partner and we look forward to the journey ahead of us as we explore sophisticated solutions to unlock untapped performance potential.”
