Robert Kubica has undergone yet another round of surgery, his fourth so far following a rally accident in Italy.
The Pole had endured three previous operations and a fourth wasn’t expected to be needed. However, it was recommended that a final operation was carried out by specialist elbow surgeon Prof. Luigi Celli.
The aim was to restore better elbow functionality and to aid his recovery process. The surgery was successful.
“It was decided that noteworthy elbow specialist Prof. Luigi Celli should operate on the elbow to improve its functionality,” a statement read.
“Prof. Celli expressed his satisfaction with what has already been done and said he will be available Saturday to rehabilitate the functionality of the elbow.
“Kubica’s condition is otherwise satisfactory both from a clinical and general point of view.”
