Audi has announced that it will field an unchanged six-man driver line-up for the 2020 DTM season.
The German manufacturer, which dominated the 2019 season, taking all three available championships, with Rene Rast claiming his second DTM championship.
Rast once again spearheads the Ingolstadt line-up as he goes in search of his third title. He is joined at Audi Sport Team Rosberg by British veteran Jamie Green. Green has 17 DTM victories in 193 race starts, making him the most experienced driver in Audi’s fold. Green will compete in his sixteenth DTM season in 2020.
The line-up for Audi’s other works teams also remain unchanged. 2019 championship runner-up Nico Müller returns to Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline and is joined by Dutchman Robin Frijns, who has recorded multiple finishes in his two years in DTM and barely missed out on victory in the chaotic Nürburgring title decider last year.
Audi’s third works team, Audi Sport Team Phoenix, features two former Le Mans winners in the form of Mike Rockenfeller and Loïc Duval.
Audi’s full line-up for the 2020 DTM season is now complete, as privateer outfit Team WRT announced the signing of Ed Jones and Fabio Scherer last year.
