The FIA has confirmed a number of changes to the 2020 World Rally Championship calendar following a World Motor Sport Council e-vote last week.
Rally Chile has officially been dropped from the schedule. The event, which only debuted on the calendar in 2018, had been lined up as round four, but political unrest in the country has forced the government to withdraw its financial support.
The calendar will now consist of 13 rounds instead of the original 14.
Chile had also been included on the Junior WRC calendar, but will be replaced by Wales Rally GB, which will host the double points season finale.
Rally Argentina’s date has been moved forward a week in order to allow for extra time to ship equipment from South America to Africa ahead of Kenya’s Safari Rally return.
Rally Argentina will be held on April 23-26 and the Safari Rally on 16-19 July.
