Valtteri Bottas has been given a reprimand for his collision with Romain Grosjean during second practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver dived down the inside of the Haas at Turn 11 believing Grosjean had seen him coming, but the Frenchman took the corner as normal and the pair made contact.
Grosjean's Haas sustained heavy floor damage whilst Bottas required a new front-wing. The session was red flagged as a result of the debris littering the track.

"I thought he would see me coming because he was at some point trying to cover the line," Bottas said after the session.
"So I thought he was aware I was there but maybe he didn’t look at the mirror before turning him. I expected him to see me and I saw the gap decreasing and there was no escape."
Bottas admitted he was at fault and the stewards accepted that when making their decision to issue a reprimand.
"Valtteri accepted responsibility for the collision and acknowledged that it was a failed attempt at an overtake which resulted in the collision," noted the stewards.
Bottas is due to start the race from the back of the grid after requiring an engine change ahead of the weekend following the failure of his unit in Brazil.
