Racing Point driver Sergio Perez is to drop five places on the grid at the Singapore Grand Prix after taking on a new gearbox.
Perez clipped the wall during the final practice session at Marina Bay on Saturday evening, causing damage to the rear-right of his RP19.
Perez was able to recover to the pit lane but Racing Point has been forced to equip his car with a fresh gearbox.
As the change has happened before the six consecutive events rule has expired Perez is set to receive a five-place penalty.
Racing Point, which is running a new front wing this weekend, has not figured towards the front of the midfield.
