Lando Norris is set to start the German Grand Prix from the back row of the grid after taking on new power unit components.
Norris qualified 16th, the first time in his Formula 1 career that he failed to make it through to Q2, and did so in the wake of suffering a battery issue.
McLaren estimated that the time lost was sufficient to cost Norris a place in Q2.
McLaren has fitted Norris’ MCL34 with a new MGU-K, Energy Store and Control Electronics, bringing him over his 2019 allocation.
He is therefore set to start from 19th position, in front of Sebastian Vettel, who has taken on new Control Electronics.
Alfa Romeo's Kimi Raikkonen has also taken on fresh engine components – a new MGU-H, Internal Combustion Engine and Turbocharger – but he is within his 2019 allocation, so will start from fifth place.
