Ex-F1 racer Esteban Gutierrez will get back behind the wheel for Mercedes during a demonstration run in the United States next weekend.
Gutierrez, who spent three years racing in Formula 1 with Sauber and Haas, has been working with Mercedes since 2018 as its simulator and development driver.
Gutierrez will demonstrate Mercedes’ title-winning 2016-spec W07 at the Sonoma Speed Festival, the circuit which hosted IndyCar’s season finale up until last year.
“I’m excited to be driving W07, especially at Sonoma, which is such an iconic track,” said Esteban Gutiérrez.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to drive W07 once before, so it won’t be a completely new experience, but it does mean I know it’s going to be really good fun and will definitely be an incredible feeling.
“I’ll do my best to put on a show for all the fans, they’re really passionate about motorsport in the US. So, it’s going to be an exciting event.”
