Alfa Romeo has been summoned to the stewards at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix over an alleged technical breach on Kimi Raikkonen’s car.
Raikkonen qualified in ninth position and is set to start from eighth place in the wake of a 10-place grid penalty for team-mate Antonio Giovinazzi.
But on Sunday lunchtime it was revealed that post-qualifying checks detected that the “front wing flap deflected more than 5mm under a load of 60 N.”
An Alfa Romeo representative will meet the stewards at 13:35 local time.
Raikkonen has so far scored points in each of the three grands prix and is solely responsible for Alfa Romeo’s position of fifth in the Constructors’ Championship.
