Campos has recruited Dorian Boccolacci for the upcoming Formula 2 season, completing the team’s 2019 driver line-up.
Boccolacci stepped up to Formula 2 partway through 2018 with MP Motorsport, having previously competed in GP3, and tested for Campos pre-season at Jerez.
On Friday the team confirmed that Boccolacci will join Renault F1 tester Jack Aitken, with the series set to begin in Bahrain next weekend.
“I am finally really happy to say that I will take part of the F2 championship this season with Campos,” said Boccolacci.
“It was not easy to arrive at this stage but we finally made it, thanks to everyone who made it possible. I am sure we can make a good job this season together!
“The team is really professional and we have the same target so we will work as much as possible to get it as soon as possible.”
Boss Adrian Campos has outlined his desire for the outfit to contend for this year’s Teams’ title.
“With Dorian we complete a strong driver line-up and Jack and he will undoubtedly draw attention,” said Campos.
“We have set ourselves the goal of fighting for the Teams’ classification and, therefore, we worked hard on making our cars competitive.
“Besides, it was important to have a strong driver line-up comprised of two drivers collecting as many points as possible.”
