ART Grand Prix driver Nyck de Vries was quickest on the final day of the second Formula 2 test at Spain's Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Thursday.
De Vries posted a time of 1:27.024 during the morning session to top the timing screens come the lunch break and he remained unbeaten during the afternoon's running, to head the times come the conclusion of the final day.
Juan Manuel Correa was quickest in the afternoon, but his time of 1:30.095 would have only been good enough for 19th in the morning, and was some two seconds slower than his own morning time as attention during the later running switched to longer runs.
De Vries therefore headed UNI Virtuosi's Luca Ghiotto and Carlin's Louis Deletraz, both two-tenths adrift of one another in second and third place.
The ART racer's day wasn't entirely trouble free as he brought out the first and only red flag of Thursday's running after spinning at Turn 2.
Guanyu Zhou, Nobuharu Matsushita and Nikita Mazepin rounded out the top six, all of which either drove an ART Grand Prix, UNI Virtuosi or Carlin car.
Campos' Jack Aitken headed McLaren-backed Sergio Sette Camara for DAMS ahead of Sean Gelael and Ralph Boschung to complete the top 10.
This test concludes Formula 2's pre-season testing programme ahead of the first race of the season in March at the Bahrain International Circuit.
