Scuderia Toro Rosso has confirmed its 2019 Formula 1 car will be unveiled to the public via an online presentation on February 11.
The Red Bull junior team is set to be the first squad to publicly launch its 2019 package, jumping ahead of Renault, which previously announced a February 12 date.
Toro Rosso enters 2019 with a revised driver line-up, with Daniil Kvyat returning and Anglo-Thai debutant Alexander Albon, who finished third in Formula 2, making the step up.
They have replaced Brendon Hartley, who was dropped, and Pierre Gasly, who has moved to the senior Red Bull team to fill the void left by Renault-bound Daniel Ricciardo.
Toro Rosso finished ninth in last year’s Constructors’ Championship with 33 points, with a best result of fourth in Bahrain.
However, its season was compromised by on-track incidents and several grid penalties, as Honda strived to consistently bring updates to its power unit in order to speed up development ahead of Red Bull switching to its engines for 2019.
F1 2019 launch dates:
Toro Rosso – February 11
Renault – February 12
Racing Point – February 13
McLaren – February 14
Ferrari – February 15
Sauber – February 18
