The “substantial amount” of evidence submitted by both Force India and Haas means stewards will not hand down a decision until Saturday.
It was revealed on Thursday that Haas had lodged a protest against the Racing Point Force India team cars of both Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon.
No official communication has yet been issued by either team but it is understood that Haas is unhappy about the manner in which Force India re-entered the series mid-season, owing to the way prize money is distributed in the sport.
A bulletin issued on Friday evening confirmed that the hearing had been concluded.
“A substantial amount of written evidence was submitted and each party made extensive verbal representation,” read a statement.
“The Stewards are deliberating on the matter.
“It is anticipated that a Decision will not be handed down any earlier that just prior to Free Practice 3.”
Haas holds fifth in the Constructors’ Championship while Force India occupies seventh position.
