Season Two Formula E champion Sebastien Buemi topped a shortened afternoon session on the second day of pre-season testing at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, Spain, for Nissan e.dams.
In the session that only lasted for 30 minutes because of a planned race simulation, Buemi emerged as the fastest of 10 runners, setting a best time of a 1m 17.773s while Jean-Eric Vergne followed in second for DS Techeetah, 2.933s adrift of the Swiss racer.
Andre Lotterer completed a 2-3 for the squad with a new works team status following its partnership with DS Automobiles while Mitch Evans followed in fourth for Panasonic Jaguar Racing.
Edoardo Mortara led Felipe Massa in fifth for Venturi while Tom Dillmann fronted a 7-8 for NIO Formula E, with Oliver Turvey trailing the Frenchman by 0.496s.
Maximilian Gunther and Jose Maria Lopez rounded out the 10 runners for Dragon Racing.
The planned race scheduled to take place later on in the afternoon on the second day of pre-season testing will allow Formula E to test the series' new race format for the 2018/19 campaign while allowing the all-new 'attack mode' to be tested ahead of its debut this December.
