Mick Schumacher has secured the 2018 European Formula 3 title with a race to spare, succeeding F1-bound Lando Norris as champion.
Schumacher established his run to the title with a stunning sequence of wins across preceding rounds at the Nurburgring and Red Bull Ring.
It left him with a 49-point advantage over Red Bull-backed youngster Daniel Ticktum heading to Hockenheim.
Schumacher finished only 12th in the first race after a clash with Prema team-mate Marcus Armstrong, though Ticktum could muster just fifth.
That left Schumacher holding a 39-point buffer, and needing a lead of 25 after the second encounter, an advantage he retained with ease.
Schumacher pressured Juri Vips early on for victory but the Motopark driver ultimately pulled clear to register a comfortable win.
Schumacher finished runner-up, while Ticktum was a low-key seventh, having started from 15th on the grid after a lacklustre qualifying session.
Schumacher crossed the line to jubilant scenes as he wrapped up the championship on home ground with one race to spare.
