Watching Lewis Hamilton at work in his Mercedes W09 yesterday afternoon showed just what an artist he is as he completed a weekend domination of his faster Ferrari rivals. From his once-in-a-lifetime qualifying lap that put him on pole position on Sunday to his lights to flag victory yesterday, he showed just why he is now odds on favourite to take his fifth title this year. Joe Saward and Phillip Horton have the story of how he did it.
The WRC finally went back to Turkey this weekend and from all accounts, most of the field would rather have not bothered to make to trip to the eastern Mediterranean venue around the Turkish city of Marmaris. The roads were responsible for a very high attrition rate including both points leader Thievery Neuville and reigning WRC champion Seb Ogier. But it did not include current hot prospect Ott Tänak who recorded his third WRC win on the trot. Rallies Editor Jerry Williams has the sad tale of those who tried to chase him down.
Then Chris Soulsby has the second part of his look back at this year's Formula E championship in which he analyses the top five teams and their drivers. Phillip Horton looks at Kimi Räikkönen's last hurrah as he moves from Ferrari back to Hinwil where it all started in 2001 at Sauber. And Ryan Wood takes a first look at what Ross Brawn is trying to achieve in the next generation of Formula 1 cars.
And as always we have all the usual news, views and stories in this week's edition of the most widely read weekly motorsport magazine in the world!
