Abbi Pulling set the fastest time in the all-female FIA Formula E pre-season test at the Madrid-based Jarama circuit driving for the Nissan squad.
Pulling, an Alpine Academy driver made history in 2024 as the first woman to win a race in the British Formula 4 championship.
Moreover, she has turned heads with her dominant showing in the all-female F1 Academy series, with one hand firmly grasped on the title.
Alpine’s partnership with the Nissan Formula E programme paved the way for Pulling’s participation in the groundbreaking all-female test at Jarama.
The test was the first-of-its-kind for any FIA single-seater series, and Pulling piloted her Gen3 EVO Nissan machine to a 1:30.889s lap-time in Madrid to cement her place at the top of the standings.
Her time was three seconds down on the fastest effort from the full-time FE drivers, who had the benefit of 18 hours of testing across six sessions.
Moreover, Pulling had never driven at Jarama, let alone got behind the wheel of the Nissan Gen3 EVO machine prior to Friday’s test.
