Oscar Piastri edged out McLaren team-mate Lando Norris to claim pole position for the Sprint race at Formula 1’s Sao Paulo Grand Prix at the death.
Charles Leclerc took third as championship leader Max Verstappen split the two Ferrari drivers with Carlos Sainz rounding out the top five runners.
George Russell was sixth in the sole Mercedes in SQ3, ahead of Alpine’s Pierre Gasly, RB’s Liam Lawson, Williams’ Alex Albon and Haas’ Oliver Bearman.
