The Jeddah E-Prix will make its mark on the Season 11 FIA Formula E World Championship calendar, assuming hosting duties from Diriyah.
Diriyah has enjoyed six seasons of hosting Formula E action, but on 14-15 February 2025, the all-electric single-seater series will move to the Red Sea Coast to race on the revised Jeddah Corniche Short Circuit.
No doubt the move will strike a chord with Formula 1 fans with the Saud Arabian Grand Prix run in Jeddah since 2021.
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sport has sanctioned the switch from Diriya to Jeddah and the short circuit is now awaiting FIA approval ahead of the February FE debut on the Red Sea Coast.
The FIA World Motor Sport Council is slated to rubber stamp the circuit in October 2024.
The Jeddah E-Prix is the latest puzzle piece to fit into the Season 11 calendar jigsaw.
The GEN3 EVO era of FE will commence with the Sao Paulo E-Prix on December 07, 2024, before heading to Mexico City shortly after the New Year on January 11.
The Jeddah E-Prix will then be followed by a TBC event on March 08, with the Miami E-Prix set to take place on April 12.
A trio of double-headers at Monaco, Tokyo and Shanghai will be succeeded by a single E-Prix at Jakarta, Indonesia, before a Berlin and London double-bill of double-headers closes out Season 11.
