This afternoon’s Formula 2 Sprint Race has been postponed until further notice after persistent rainfall delayed the start by 45 minutes.
After the weather truncated the Formula 1 FP3 session earlier in the day, the F2 grid patiently sat outside their respective garages, awaiting information from race control as to whether the race would begin.
After several confirmed delays, confirmation came at around 14:45 local time that the race was postponed, with no further update yet to be made as to the rescheduled time of the start.
The grid inversion means that Zak O’Sullivan or ART will start the race from pole position, joined on the front row by MP’s Dennis Hauger.
Hitech’s Paul Aron, who qualified on pole, will start at the back of the grid after taking a ten place grid penalty from the last race.
