The NTT IndyCar Series took a trip north of the border to Canada over the weekend, contesting a race on Toronto’s tight and bumpy streets.
Colton Herta absolutely dominated the weekend in his #26 Andretti Global Honda, leading every session and claiming his first victory in over two years by leading 81 of the 85 laps.
Herta’s team-mate Kyle Kirkwood stayed in in his tire tracks all race, but was never able to challenge for the lead. He finished second just ahead of Scott Dixon in third.

A large crash interrupted the final stint of the race, with Santino Ferrucci being launched into the fencing over Pato O’Ward’s spun #5 and landing upside down. Marcus Ericsson, Nolan Siegel, and Pietro Fittipaldi were involved as well.
Fortunately, Ferrucci walked away after being assisted from the AMR safety crew, as did everyone else involved.
After a hectic and busy summer stretch, the IndyCar paddock now has a well-deserved break. The next race on the calendar takes place August 17 at the World Wide Technology Raceway oval.
