“Lola’s involvement in the sport allows us to create a unique electrified platform with a software focus at its core to provide a basis for our wider plans in defining the future of motorsport technology.
“Therefore, we are keen to continue developing and investing in this area as the leap in performance for GEN4 is made.”
Preston has also revealed that its testing programme for Season 11 will underway in just a matter of days.
“Development for the GEN3 Evo car we will compete with from Season 11 is going well; our test car is currently bring built, with a shakedown planned for early June prior to the commencement of the test days.
“Of course, in the run-up to that, we will also be running a wide range of dyno and unit tests under the supervision of David Clarke [Operations Manager], but we are very excited to have some actual vehicles on the track very soon.”
