Force India’s Alfonso Celis Jr. will make an appearance on home soil in Mexico this weekend, after being handed another practice outing.
Celis Jr. has made outings in eight practice sessions across the past two seasons with Force India, and will climb back into the VJM10 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez on Friday.
Celis Jr. will drive alongside compatriot Sergio Pérez, ensuring an all-Mexican line-up for FP1, before regular racer Esteban Ocon takes over from FP2 onwards.
Celis Jr. holds fourth position in this year’s World Series V8 3.5 championship.
The Mexican will be one of four Friday drivers in action, with Sean Gelael (Toro Rosso), Antonio Giovinazzi (Haas) and Charles Leclerc (Sauber) all set for additional Formula 1 experience.
